Grafitti Analysis:

Graffiti Analysis 2.0: Digital Blackbook from Evan Roth on Vimeo.

Barry McGee (aka Twist aka Ray Fong; born 1966, San Francisco, California) rose out of the Mission School art movement and graffiti boom in the San Francisco Bay Area during the early nineties. Barry McGee has become one of the leading artistic figures in California youth subculture. He draws his force and inspiration from the contrast and tension that exists between the city center and the suburbs, between wealthy districts and the slums. His visual language is at once eclectic, ephemeral, radical and, above all, heavily influenced by the daily realities of the city.
